CHANGE IN CHECK CLEARING PROCESS
To our Valued Customers:
On January 1, 2011 there will be a change in clearing procedures, as per BSP Circular no. 681. This circular states: “The checks which were dishonored due to insufficient funds or with stop-payment order shall be returned not later than 7:30AM on the clearing day immediately following the original date of presentation of the check to PCHC.”
This would mean that your GRBank checks with insufficient funds can no longer be funded the following day. Hence, we encourage you to practice funding your checks on or before the date of your checks to avoid penalty charges and whatever inconvenience it may bring.
